This is a 1970's vintage hard rubber Selmer “scroll shank” mouthpiece for the alto sax. These pieces were made just after the Soloists and feature the same scroll pattern on the shank and the same horseshoe chamber. This piece is completely original and in tremendous shape for its age. It shows no oxidation and only light scratching here and there. There are no teeth marks or wear on the beak, and the original facing looks great too. It is stamped with the D facing, perfect for players wanting something slightly more open than the traditional C*.
