This is a pristine, mint condition Yamaha Custom Z “Atelier Special” tenor sax in rare amber lacquer, serial number F41905. This YTS-82ZASP is a limited edition model that has become a highly sought-after item. It features gorgeous dark amber lacquer coloring with keywork to high F#, and has all the additions Yamaha cooked up for the special Atelier edition, including a weight neck screw, redesigned palm keys, and Yamaha's Custom C1 neck.

As you can see in the photos, this tenor is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. It may have a stray surface scratch here or there if you look very closely, but no obvious lacquer of note, even on the touch points. No dents/dings/repairs of any kind. It has obviously been only sparingly played and never seen any hard playing time. Pads are all in like-new condition and the sax is playing up a storm on the original factory set up. Yamaha really took their time perfecting the Atelier version and it shows!

We've been fortunate enough to have a couple Atelier horns through here over the last couple years, and I'm always blown away by them. This tenor plays with a huge, contemporary sound, and takes all of the air you can push through it. The included C1 neck gives the player the fastest articulation available from Yamaha, and plays with superb intonation and a strong focus. The package come complete with original case, mouthpiece, and factory paperwork.
