Buffet R13 A Clarinet Nickel Keys

This is a tremendous playing Buffet R13 A clarinet from the late 1960's, serial number 91792. The clarinet is physically in excellent condition regarding both the body joints. There is no history of past cracks or crack repair. All of the tone holes are also in excellent condition as is the bell and 65mm barrel. This clarinet is with all of the original nickel silver key work. The key work is in good shape showing some normal finish wear from past use.

The R13 came into our shop playing very nicely on a set-up with cork pads in the upper joint. It is a highly responsive instrument with a ultra lush Chalumeau register. Transitioning from the clarion into the altissimo register is also very smooth. In order to make the instrument perfect for the next owner it is currently awaiting a set up in our shop. The work will include a dissemble and cleaning followed by a precise regulation of the key work. While the clarinet is apart the tenon corks will also be replaced in addition to any other needed materials.
